  • Fundamental Grounding in Algebra.
  • Provides the essential knowledge and foundation needed to have confidence in the single largest topic in Maths.

How long and when are  the courses?

Both the Algebra Course and the 2 GCSE/iGCSE Revision courses are over 2 days run over multiple dates in February, April and May 2024. (Limited numbers)

3 Years of Algebra in 2 days course  – £200.00

  • Monday 12th to Tuesday 13th February 2024 – (ALG/A)
  • Wednesday 14th to Thursday 15th February 2024 – (ALG/B)

 2 GCSE / IGCSE Revision Course  – £240.00

“Shoot for the Stars”

  • Tuesday 9th to Wednesday 10th April 2024 (RCA/A)
  • Thursday 11th to Friday 12th April 2024 (RCA/B)
  • Topics Include Nth Term, Inequalities, Vectors, Pythagoras, Subject of Formulae, Completing the Square, Congruence, Functions, Scale Factors/Conversions, Circle Properties, Proportions and Surds (and others)   

“Last Chance Saloon”

  • Tuesday 28th to Wednesday 29th May 2024 (RCM/A)
  • Thursday 30th to Friday 31st May 2024 (RCM/B)
  • Topics Include Simultaneous Linear and Quadratic solutions, Solving equations, Sets / Ven Diagrams, Trigonometry, Quadratic formulae, Bounds, Angles, Stem and Leaf, Polygons, Bearings, Area & Volume and Algebraic proofs (and others)  

(all courses are between 4.30pm and 7.30pm both Online and at Wimbledon Village Hall, SW19.)

What maths text and paperwork will be provided?

Students will be need to bring their own stationary and pads to write with (and any snacks and drinks required). Individual students will also need their mobile phones (with WhatsApp downloaded and fully charged) as the course material and examples to practice will be shared via a group chat during the course. We will avoid adding unnecessary printing and paper wastage using this approach and it has been very successful and well received. (Ipads can also be used in conjunction with Phones if needed.)

Will they be required to all work at the same speed?

Every student is different. They will be encouraged to work at their own speed and on whichever topics covered in the course they feel they need to improve in. They will be provided with three levels of work to practice 1 – entry level 2 – more challenging 3 – exam style questions. These will be shared on their mobile devices so they can take them away and practice later also.

How many will be on the course?

There will be maximum 18, an instructor is assigned to each group of 9 students to supervise and provide support during practice and exercise / exam question working. Help can be asked anonymously using the app and is discrete and those topics where further clarification is required it can highlighted be addressed as a group. (Limited Places.)

Will exam papers be made available?

Yes exam papers (and marking schemes) will be shared via the group chat.

How should I pay for the courses?

To secure a place payment in full is required within 30days before the first day of the course. To reserve a place beyond the 30days a non refundable deposit of £100 can be made and final payment must be made within 30days of the course starting to keep the place.
